Blush Perfect for Spring

Now that we are officially into the months of Spring, I decided it was time to delve into my blush collection and pick out a few of my favourites for this time of year. I must admit that I'm not the biggest blush wearer and I usually only wear it during Spring and Summer but I do love how it adds that lovely pop of colour to the skin. When it comes to my makeup routine at this time of year all I want to achieve is glowy, healthy skin with lovely pastel shades and bright lips. I'm definitely a subtle girl when it comes to my blush choices as you will see, I really enjoy the paler nude and pink tones and I also prefer powder formulas to cream as I find these sometimes a little hard to work with.
I will start off with my favourite of the bunch which is the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve, these were so popular when they were first launched and I really do understand why. This shade in particular is a lovely soft pink with mauve tones, it is very subtle but adds a lovely dewy finish to the skin as the formula is of a baked kind which makes it super soft and gentle to apply to the skin. This is the most expensive blush out of the selection I've chosen but I think it's worth every penny and I definitely need to pick up more of the shades to add to my collection, they really are so lovely.

Seventeen is a brand I really like and their Blush Powder in Plum Puff is no exception, the shade is the darkest of this selection and it has more pink tones and is a little cooler on the complexion. I really enjoy using this shade on days where its a little warmer and I feel like I need a little more colour to the skin, the pigmentation is fab and the lasting power is also very impressive for a product that'll set you back less than £3.00! Seventeen is always on some sort of offer in Boots too, normal its 3 for 2 or buy one get one half price.

Next is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush in Santa Rose, this is quite a famous shade as its so perfect for so many skin tones. The shade is a beautiful pale apricot colour that sits on the skin perfectly, when analysing the pan of this product you can see tiny flecks of shimmer but these don't really transfer onto the skin when applied, the blush just leaves a lovely healthy glow. I remember this blush being one of the first in my collection when I started makeup, back in the days where blush wasn't so popular and it was harder to get your hands on, it definitely has a well earned place in my makeup collection.
Finally we have the Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in Peach Melba and the Makeup Revolution Blush in Love, also a very popular shade especially over on YouTube. These two shades are very similar indeed however I would say that out of the two, the Makeup Revolution offering is slightly more pigmented and has less of a powdery finish. Peach Melba is a really stunning shade that adds a lovely luminous glow to the cheeks without looking too overpowering, the product itself can be a little powdery and drying if too much is applied but a light hand is enough to solve that problem. If I were to pick out of these two I would most likely choose the shade Love as its just that little bit easier to work with on the skin and I totally agree with the hype that the shade is simply stunning.

Those are my favourite blush shades for this Springtime and although it will be Summer before we know it, these are the types of shades that will carry me through into the next season and even through to the end of the year, they are some really brilliant staple shades that are also perfect for Spring.
