New In My Collection

Something I haven't done in quite a while is treat myself to some new beauty products, I certainly don't need any more makeup or skincare but when Superdrug offer 3 for 2 across all of their makeup, it's a little hard to resist, especially when there are things you've wanted to try for a while. When it comes to drugstore makeup I am usually a Boots girl as I love the advantage card points and the vouchers they send in the post, however, Superdrug sell brands such as Makeup Revolution and MUA which I'm a big fan of, so I decided to place an order with them this time.
The thing I was most excited for and wanted to try the most were the new Maybelline ColorStay Shaping Lip Liners which I've seen a few bloggers talking about recently, there are more shades available in the US which disappointed me but fingers crossed we get more shades over here soon. These lip liners are only £3.99 each which is such a bargain when they are very comparable to brands like MAC. As I am a nude lover I, of course, decided to pick up two nude shades from the range as I thought they would be best suited to me and the shades looked really pretty. The first shade I opted for is Nude Whisper which is a nude beige shade with warm undertones, I imagine it will look lovely with MAC Velvet Teddy. The second shade I picked up is Dusty Rose which is a really lovely nude shade with pink undertones, a great one to pair with MAC Faux. On first impressions, the formula of these feels great and I love the twist up style packaging, they are super easy to use and are gorgeous shades.

Then we move on to Makeup Revolution who just seem to bring out fabulous product after product! They've recently released their Skin Kiss Highlighters which are the most beautiful products I've ever seen at just £5.00 each, with four shades available in the collection I picked up the two I thought would most suit my skin tone. Peach Kiss is the rose toned highlighter of the collection, it has a slightly pink and rose gold undertone which gives that lovely warm glow to the complexion, after my first swatches of this I can't wait to get stuck in. Then we have the shade Ice Kiss which is probably my favourite out of the two, it is a very light shade with a champagne undertone, it is perfect for my pale complexion and the texture of the highlighter is beautiful, it feels so soft and silky to touch. When I first saw these being released I just knew I'd want to try them just by the gorgeous packaging design, encased in rose gold with a mirror inside, the packaging is a total game changer for Makeup Revolution.
Also from Makeup Revolution, I wanted to try their Renaissance Lipsticks which have been highly compared to the beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks and as soon as I opened my parcel, they are a complete dupe in terms of looks. It took a long time to decide which shades to go for but I opted for Prime, a light soft pink shade with a slight warm undertone, Greatest, a slightly darker pink nude shade, and Vow, a gorgeous deeper brown nude shade. All three shades are stunning and although I haven't properly tried them on yet, when swatching they felt like a dream to apply and the pigmentation is very high quality. Also, can we just appreciate the packaging, it is so pretty and I now officially want to buy every shade of this lipstick just so I can fill my collection with the beautifulness! Yes, these are a total dupe for Charlotte Tilbury but can you really complain if you can get similar lipsticks for £3.00?!

I am super excited by all of the new beauty bits in my collection and I can't wait to get playing with the new highlighters especially! Have you tried any of these products yet?
