Bronzers for Spring

Spring is officially here, the sun is shining, the rain has stopped and the clocks have turned forward, something I didn't even realise had happened until I stepped onto Twitter this morning. Spring is a lovely time of the year, it seems to make everyone feel happier, more motivated and it just gives me those good vibes. I love adapting my routines when we move into a new season, that includes my haircare, moving to a lighter range of skincare products and of course my staple makeup products.

Today I will be sharing with you a few of my favourite bronzers for this time of year, I like to change up most parts of my makeup routine and I like to go for products that are going to give my skin that warmth and glow, perfect for the sunshine. I'm not really that great at contouring, I seem to just make a little bit of a mess and I'm also very good at applying too much of a product, so I guarantee these ones I have picked out will be fool-proof and super easy to use.

My first favourite is one I picked up in TK Maxx a few weeks ago, I spotted it on a whim for about £3.99 and I really fell in love, it's the Physicians Formula Happy Booster in Light Bronzer which I believe is an American brand and I wish they sold more of in the UK. I must admit the packaging and the design of the product did draw me in but I had heard great things about the Happy Boosters and this shade looked lovely. It's a mixture of brown tones and there is a light shimmery shade in there too, when you swirl your brush into the product it gives you such a warm and beautiful glow, and you don't need to add a separate highlighter too unless you wanted to.

L'Oreal Glam Bronze in 102 is quite a new addition to my makeup bag and one I really like particularly as its a two in one product. The pan consists of a matte bronzer and a shimmery highlighter, both are absolutely lovely and it's so handy to have them both in one place. The formula of this bronzer is very nice, it feels like velvet on this skin and is so super soft to touch, it really does blend like a dream and gives you a gorgeous bronzed look. I love this one as its a good shade for us pale girls or anyone who doesn't want a heavy look. I would say that Glam Bronze is a little pricier at £10.29 for a drugstore product but I do rate L'Oreal as a brand and their products are of a high quality which is very comparable to some high-end brands.

Moving onto the more high-end makeup brands, Benefit Hoola has been one of my favourites ever since I picked it up, it's a really gorgeous matte warm shade that works beautifully on so many skin tones. This one is a little darker than the others I have mentioned so you do need a lighter hand and not as much product but with a good amount of blending it can look really beautiful. What I love about Hoola is the high quality pigmentation and lasting power, it is definitely worth spending the extra to have this one in your daily routine. If you are thinking of trying this one but are unsure, you can now pick up mini versions from Boots which are also great for travelling and it'll only set you back less than a tenner!

And finally, I have to mention the MAC Powder Blush in Harmony which although it is a blush, works amazing as a bronzer for me and is a great contour shade too if you're any good at it! Harmony is a slightly pinky toned product which doubles up nicely as a bronzer and a blush if you're in a hurry or like me and don't wear blush all that often. I can never fault anything I've tried from MAC so if you want to find a product that is a lovely shade, blends easily, and lasts all day this would be perfect and will last you a lifetime.
