Cohorted May Beauty Box Review

It's always a good day when a new monthly beauty box lands on your doorstep and last week I received the lovely May edition of the Cohorted Beauty Box. The Cohorted Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service that costs £35 and in return you'll receive a box full of different beauty goodies each month.

I've always been pretty impressed by the Cohorted Beauty Box in previous months and I had no hesitations that May would be just as good. The total value of the May edition is £80 and inside you will find the following...

theBalm Voyage Vol 2 Palette which is the most exciting product in my opinion, I have eyed this up a few times in TK Maxx but never actually purchased it, so its lovely to add it to my collection at last. The palette is designed to be an all-in-one in that it includes a range of eye shadows, blush, bronzer and highlighter, as well as two gorgeous lip colours. The palette is lovely and I can definitely see myself getting a lot of use out of the face colours in particular, it would be such a handy palette for anyone on the go.

The next product is the HJ Manicure Nail Polish in Lace, don't get me wrong its a really pretty shade but personally I much prefer skincare and beauty products to nail products. The bottle has a lovely design and you get a lot of product in there so all in all it sounds lovely, perfect for anyone new to nails or someone who likes to try new shades. I probably won't end up using this shade as it's far too light for me, I prefer to wear more opaque shades, I feel like this is a very natural shade and it would be perfect for anyone who has naturally beautiful looking nails!

I've not tried anything from Hourglass before so I was a little excited to find the Hourglass Opaque Rouge Gloss in Riviera inside the beauty box. Although the product is called a gloss, it's actually more of a liquid lipstick in that it dries to a matte finish on the lips instead of staying glossy. I really like this and I'm quite glad it is more of a liquid lipstick as I'm not the biggest lip gloss girl. The shade Riviera is definitely something a little different, it's basically a bright orange which isn't something I'd usually opt for but it would be perfect for Summer, if we ever see the sun!
Lastly in the May edition is a sample of the Jimmy Choo Eau Da Parfum which is a fragrance I have wanted to try for quite a while actually. The sample size is really generous and so handy to pop in your handbag for on the go. It's nice to have a fragrance sample in a beauty box like this as it gives you a chance to try a new fragrance that you perhaps wouldn't have tried previously.

Overall I have been pleased with the May edition of the Cohorted Beauty Box, it seemed like there were less products in this edition but I guess the value of the contents is the same as every other month. I can't wait to give the new palette a go and to try out a product from Hourglass!

Have you tried the Cohorted Beauty Box before?
