Holy Grail Skincare

Finding  skincare products that I can call holy grail doesn't happen very often, but over the past say year I have definitely discovered a routine of products that suit my skin perfectly. Marking a product as holy grail is quite the title, but I can definitely class these few products as mine.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish has been in my routine for years, I started using this to cleanse my skin when I was around 16 or 17 years old and I haven't stopped using it since. I really love how gentle the cleanser is on my sensitive skin yet it still manages to lightly exfoliate and keep my skin hydrated. A 200ml tube will set you back £24.75 from Boots which I don't think is too bad, considering this will last me around two months being used every morning and evening. Cleanse and Polish melts away any trace of makeup, it doesn't quite remove waterproof mascara but I like to use an eye remover anyway so this I don't really mind. If you are yet to try a product by Liz Earle then please make this your first, you will be blown away and won't want to use anything else!

When it comes to eye care, I've always been one to use an eye cream as I feel it's such an important step in your routine, I also want to avoid wrinkles for as long as possible! Bare Minerals Firming Eye Treatment is a product I have also used for a long time and I have purchased quite a few tubes. I really like the texture of this cream, it's consistency is perfect where it just melts into the eye area. Sadly I can't really comment on whether it has made a difference to my wrinkles, I don't have that many yet so I can't give a realistic judgement, but the product does hydrate my eye area lovely and seems to allow my concealer to apply lovely over the top.

I have always had a dry skin type and I would really struggle to keep my skin hydrated and dewy until I discovered the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Booster, a serum that keeps your skin hydrated for hours, its amazing stuff and has worked absolute wonders for me. Hydraluron retails at £24.99 but is regularly on offer and can be picked up for around £16.66 when on a third off, I tend to stock up when the offer is on! I use the serum every morning and every night as my first step after cleansing and before moisturiser, it sinks into my skin straight away and I then find myself using less moisturiser than I would usually.

Finally is a new holy grail item in my skincare regime, I never thought I'd be able to replace my oh so loved Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser, but when the price bumped up to around £40 for a tub I just had to find an alternative for everyday use. After several tries and testers of different moisturisers my absolute favourite and a product I wouldn't be without is the Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream from The Body Shop. Since using this product my skin has stayed hydrated, dry patches at bay and my makeup applies like a dream, no primer required.
