Spring Makeup Essentials

Spring is officially here in the UK which means a slight re jig in the makeup department. Spring always makes me super excited as it means bringing back out the pinks and the lightweight products! Also, entering a new season is the perfect excuse to do a little shopping for some "well needed" new makeup.

When the warmer weather starts to make an appearance and the mornings become lighter, I begin to fall back in love with dewy skin and quick easy eyes. Today I want to share my favourite products that I will be using and loving over the next few months, as the weather gets warmer and the season changes there are so many products I will be using and many new ones to try, but these are my favourites.

First up is the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light brightening concealer, I discovered this product quite a while ago and I've been an avid user ever since. The lightweight consistency and salmon undertone is perfect for concealing under the eyes, and concealing them well! This concealer is super lightweight yet so high in coverage and brightening, meaning you can apply the amount you wish to without feeling cakey or heavy in makeup. Stroke of Light is available in several shades, this particular shade is Luminance 1 which is the lightest available, perfect for paler skin tones, I notice that the as the shades get darker they become more yellow undertoned rather than pink.

Next up is the newly released Max Factor Cream Puff Blush in 'Nude Mauve', a stunning light baby pink nude shade that looks so flawless when swept onto the skin. The texture of these blushes is of something else, the product is so creamy and soft that they leave a beautiful finish that also gives a lovely glow to the cheekbones too. I do think the product could be slightly cheaper, perhaps £6.99 instead of £8.99 but that being said, the quality is incredible and the blush will last a lifetime!

MUA are an amazing brand from the drugstore, their new Spring Break Palette is an absolute steal at just £4.00, the shades are perfect for this time of year and the quality is completely on point. In particular I have to mention the mint and pink shades included in the palette, they are the perfect shades for the upcoming months.

When it comes to quick, easy eye makeup on the Spring mornings I will definitely be running back to my well loved Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold, the most beautiful pink shimmer in cream form. Maybelline Colour Tattoos are such amazing products and make fab dupes for MAC Paint Pots and cream eyeshadows by other brands such as Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury. Pink Gold is such a pretty colour that works beautifully on my pale skin tone, its also a fab product for the warmer weather as it has fantastic lasting power.

Lastly, no makeup essentials post is complete without mentioning the lip colours I will be addicted to over the next few months. MAC Creme Cup is a staple in so many's makeup collections and it quickly became one of mine after receiving it for Christmas. MAC lipsticks are fab quality, last on the lips for hours and available in so many shades, this one in particular is my absolute favourite. Creme Cup is a light dusky pink in a cremesheen finish.

Rimmel Kate Moss 101 is a matte shade in another lovely pink shade, so perfect for Spring. The Kate Moss range from Rimmel offer some amazing products, I love all of the lipstick shades and the textures are amazing. Although this particular shade is matte it's a lovely formulation to work with and doesn't at all feel drying or need a re application very often. Both of these lip colours can be paired with the Rimmel East End Snob lip liner perfectly for a longer lasting look and a more precise finish.
