Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick | Review & Swatches

My Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick is one of my favourite makeup items, its gorgeous and is totally worth the splurge but, there are some amazing dupes out there. I spotted the Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in Boots whilst the buy one get one half price offer was on, so it felt like a good time to give the product a go. The shimmer brick is available in two shades,  'gold bronze' and 'pink bronze' which are both very similar to the two shades available from Bobbi Brown. Because I have the bronze Bobbi Brown shimmer brick I thought I'd give the pink shade a go from Seventeen, the shades looked beautiful on the website and after looking at other pictures on Google, I definitely had my heart set on this shade.

This beautiful product contains four different shades that can be used separately or swirled together for a beautiful glow, swept over the cheeks this gives you the most beautiful highlighted glow. You can also use these colours as eyeshadows which works lovely, the pigmentation is amazing and they contain just the right amount of shimmer. The shade 'pink bronze' suits my paler skin tone perfectly and I already want to try 'gold bronze' because when this costs just £4.99 you really can't go wrong.

I find myself using this a hell of a lot at the moment and I feel like its going to become a real staple in my collection as we hit Spring and Summer. I tend to apply this after I've finished the rest of my face makeup, on top of my powder so the glow really hits my skin and shows beautifully in the light. I'm really loving the subtle glow this gives my skin and in my honest opinion I feel like this shimmer brick is just as good as the Bobbi Brown one I paid £30+ for, which is pretty good. So if you're interested in the shimmer bricks but don't want to break the bank, this is a fab alternative and you can have both shades for under £10!
