L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer Review

Finding the perfect concealer really is quite the task, especially when you're someone like me who has dry skin but likes high coverage under the eyes. I'm a pretty pale skinned girl so finding a concealer from the drugstore that works for my skin tone is also a pretty big challenge, most seem to be either too yellow/pink toned or far too dark. I've tried the L'Oreal Lumi Magique primer which I really like so I thought I would pick up the highlighter pen from the same range, to give it a go. Before we go into more detail, can we all just admire the packaging of this, how beautiful can it get?!

Lumi Magique is available in just two shades, light and medium, I think that due to this concealer being more of a highlighting pen, it's not necessary for it to be available in hundreds of shades. I picked up the shade light which is a pale shade with a pink undertone which works really nicely with my skin tone. The concealer is packaged in a rose gold tube where you twist the bottom to release the product, the product is then dispersed through the brush tip, although slightly unhygienic, I really like this style of packaging.

In terms of price, this concealer will set you back £8.49 and is available from Boots and Superdrug,  where L'Oreal are currently offering 3 for 2 on all products, or you will most likely find it in your local larger supermarkets too such as Tesco or Asda.

The shade of this concealer suits my skin tone perfectly, I can't believe I've actually found a concealer that is light enough to match! I really love the finish this product gives, I do find myself using a couple of layers to achieve my desired coverage, but you can really build this without it feeling or looking thick and cakey. I also noticed how dewy and glowy my skin was under my eyes, I have been steering away from Collection's Lasting Perfection because of how dry my under eyes were looking mid way through the day, and although I love the coverage, it was starting to accentuate my fine lines more than I appreciate. Although this product is designed to be more of a highlighter than a concealer, I actually think it works really well at concealing around my eye area, and I suffer pretty dark circles and veining so I usually need something pretty strong to cover. Okay this doesn't conceal as well as Collection but it does a pretty good job and it leaves a really lovely dewy finish that I am really enjoying!
